Luxury property on private peninsula

luxury property

Hobbs Point is a 5 hectare eucalypt covered peninsula on the south western shore of Wagonga Inlet Narooma. It is almost an island. The property occupies 3.3 hectares, with the remaining 1.7 hectares being a 600 metre long and 30 metre wide foreshore waterfront reserve. The natural tree coverage has been maintained in the reserve, whilst the areas around the house, cottage and shed, are more open parkland, with plentiful plantings of native shrubs.

buildings & structures

There are three main buildings on Hobbs Point. The house and the cottage are both architect designed, and built in similar styles and materials; both have tiled floors, lime washed timber ceilings, lots of strategically placed windows to optimise the glorious views, and steel roofs to collect the rain water. The corrugated steel shed is fully lined, insulated, carpeted and air conditioned. It has an ample storage area, home office, tool shed and double car port.

reviews

You cannot always trust reviews, but for some years we ran Hobbs Point Cottage as a self contained holiday letting. We are thus in the unique position of being able to reveal what other people who have "tasted the magic" think, by showing you what our guests wrote in the Guest Book; not only about the cottage, but also about Hobbs Point. Not all of course, there are simply too many, but enough to show you that the most commonly used adjective, "paradise", is not a total exaggeration

The South Coast of NSW is an area of great natural beauty, of sea & craggy shores, bordered by forests which continue westward for 100 kilometres to the Great Dividing Range. When you add a Mediterranean climate and low density population, it has to be one of the best place to live in Australia, and one of the most photogenic. Heide Smith has photographed the South Coast for more than 20 years, and you can see the results in our gallery
